My Wellness Journey

My path into massage therapy didn't follow a straight line.
In 2017, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. My journey began with a simple internet search: “Healthy places near me.” I didn't know it then, but the results would change the course of my life. What started with a visit to a health food store opened the door to a much deeper exploration of wellness and alternative approaches to caring for the body, mind, and spirit.
In 2019, I became a licensed massage therapist—just months before COVID changed the world. That season brought uncertainty for all of us, but it also offered a bittersweet opportunity to discover what we were made of. In the midst of that storm, I learned something important about myself: I was built to withstand. I was raised to remain rooted in compassion, care, and service, even when the path ahead wasn't clear.
More than anything, those experiences taught me how important it is to create a space where people can feel safe enough to let their guard down. A place where they are listened to, where their boundaries are respected, and where they can step away from the demands of everyday life long enough to renew, restore, and reconnect with themselves.
I take great pride in saying that I am not a “healer.” I believe healing belongs to the individual—and that my role is simply to be of service, using the hands, knowledge, and compassion God has given me to help create an environment where healing can be supported.
You are the captain of your own ship.
I am simply a lighthouse along the way.

"I went for post surgery lymphatic massage and Katie was amazing! She really knew what she was doing working with me post surgery. I felt like I could stand straight and had an easier time breathing and moving after the massage. I would recommend this kind of massage from Katie fro anyone cleared by their doctor. Such a great experience!"
